Having already read this thread, I made sure my browsers were closed before running Software Update. There's not enough space on my mac for ipad backup and i need to software update free. I also had a clean Java update installation on 10.4.11. Java for Mac OS X 10.4, Release 9 Java for Mac OS X 10.4, Release 9 delivers improved reliability. In conclusion, if you have a PowerPC Mac, you will not be able to run Oxygen v13, you can only use 12.2 or older. Also, Java 1.6(6) from Apple is not available for PowerPC Macs, not even in 10.5, so upgrading the OS will not resolve this. Hello, Unfortunately Java 1.6 from Apple is not available for Mac OS X 10.4.
