Ideally it would be great to get iMail and iCal working, but if the issue is caused by a bug then I am looking for an e-mail client that supports Exchange and will allow him to sync his Google calendars.

You can use any email client to log into the server and receive, manage, and send mail. When the error appears I can select the Exchange account in the list and click on 'Try selected server' then the e-mail message is sent. I added his Exchange account to iMail, iCal, and the contacts app and they all worked great in the beginning, but then after several minutes iCal complained that it could not connect to Exchange and iMail complained it could not connect when sending a new message however it was still downloading (syncing) messages from his mailbox.
The CEO in our company is running a Mac with Yosemite. Is there such a thing as a decent Mac E-Mail client that will support connecting to Exchange and Google?
